Ed Tuck is a recovering microwave engineer who spent most of his career in the telecommunications industry. He was a founder of Kebby Microwave Corporation, which became a division of ITT Corporation. He then became Vice President and Technical Director of ITT North America Telecommunications. He has been a venture capitalist since 1986. His specialty is starting or helping to start companies. Ed Tuck founded Magellan Corporation, Teledesic Corporation, and assisted with the founding of Endwave Corporation, a microwave equipment manufacturer, among others. He is currently Chairman of the Board of High Tower Software, Inc., President of Social Fabric Corporation (an acquaintance-facilitation entity in formation) and a board member of three other companies including TriQuint Semiconductors, a publicly-traded maker of gallium arsenide and other advanced components. Ed Tuck is the Principal of Falcon Fund, a small venture capital fund. He holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (Australia) and a member of other professional organizations. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of California.
