August 2011	Space Angels Network Congratulates Altius Space Machines On Winning the 2011 NewSpace Business Plan Competition The Space Frontier Foundation announced on Saturday, July 30th that Altius Space Machines of Louisville, Colorado was awarded the $25,000 first-place prize of the 2011 NewSpace Business Plan Competition held at the NASA Ames Research Center. The Orrery Group’s Richard David, a Space Angels Network member and active investor in commercial space ventures, led a seed investment in Altius in May 2011 following Altius’ successful microgravity technology demonstration. May 2011	Space Angels Network Member Announces Investment in Altius Space Machines Space Angels Network, LLC, a national network of seed- and early-stage investors focused on aerospace-related ventures, today announced that Richard M. David, a Space Angels Network member and managing member of the Orrery Group, LLC, led a seed-stage investment in Altius Space Machines (ASM) of Louisville, Colorado. The investment corresponds with ASM’s successful testing of its "Sticky Boom" electro-adhesive rendezvous and capture technology on a microgravity flight provided by the Zero Gravity Corporation on May 14, 2011.
