London, UK – 18 August 2014 – Space Angels Network, a global network of seed‐ and early‐stage investors focused specifically on aerospace‐related ventures, is proud to announce that it has established a new Network Hub in Stockholm. Space Angels Network Hubs are physical or virtual offices, primarily led by members. Hubs serve the mission of advancing the private space industry by enabling access to innovative new ventures and facilitating interaction between those ventures and fellow Space Angels Network members across the globe. Regional Hub leaders facilitate a platform for bringing together Space Angels Network managers and members through company presentations, company tours, member meetups, and representation in industry think tanks and events.
“We are extremely excited to announce our presence in Sweden, which not only provides a new source of quality deal flow for our members, but also enables investors in the region to connect with peers in the global space community”, said Chad Anderson, Managing Director of Space Angels Network. “Historically, the angel investing process has been local, making it difficult for new space ventures to attract investors. Geographically-focused angel groups don’t see enough space companies nor do they have a critical mass of members capable of evaluating the ones they do see. At Space Angels Network we leverage our global network, online platform, and industry focus to bring aerospace entrepreneurs and investors together.”
